Privacy
This policy explains what TitanByte Technologies Inc. ("TitanByte", "we") collects through www.titanbyte.ca, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We handle personal information in line with the principles of Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, company (if you give it), the kind of work you're asking about, your message, how you heard about us (if you tell us), and the page you sent it from.
- Free teardown form: your website address, name, email address and business type (if you give it).
- Booking a call: the details you enter in the booking calendar, which Cal.com runs for us.
We don't store your IP address with your message. Our hosting provider uses it to deliver the site and to block spam and abuse, but it isn't saved in our records of your request.
Why we use it, and your consent
We use what you send us to reply to you, to prepare your teardown or quote, and to follow up about that request. By sending a form or booking a call, you agree to that use. We don't sell your information, rent it, or use it for advertising.
Who handles it, and where
We use a small number of service providers to run the site:
- Cloudflare: hosts the site, passes your form message on to us by email, runs our spam check (Turnstile) and counts visits (Web Analytics).
- Cal.com: runs the booking calendar.
- Our email provider: holds the form notifications and the messages sent to hello@titanbyte.ca and support@titanbyte.ca.
Some of these providers store or process information in the United States, where it can be accessed by courts, law enforcement and national security authorities under US law.
How long we keep it
- Contact form messages: two years after you send them.
- Teardown requests: one year after you send them.
- If you become a client, records about the work are kept for as long as tax and other laws require.
We delete the form notification emails from our inbox on that schedule. Our service providers keep their own logs only for limited periods under their own policies.
How we protect it
The site only works over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Form submissions reach us by email, and only the people at TitanByte who need them to answer your request can see them.
Analytics and cookies
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across other sites. We don't set advertising or tracking cookies. If you open the booking calendar, Cal.com may set its own cookies, and our spam check may store what it needs to tell people from bots. If you switch the site to light or dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser and never sent to us.
Email follow-up
When you send us a form, we reply about that request. Any follow-up email relates to what you asked about, includes a way to opt out, and stops as soon as you ask. We don't add you to a mailing list.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing our privacy officer at hello@titanbyte.ca. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
